Manama, September 18 (BNA) Minister of Labor and Social Development Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, met Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa.

Humaidan praised the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain to develop higher education in order to meet the current and future needs of the labor market, praising the crucial role played by the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training led by the Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh. Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and the membership of the Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi.
The minister reviewed the main initiatives implemented through cooperation and integration between strategic partners in the training sector, such as the Employment Skills Portal, the “Skills Bahrain” project, the apprenticeship project, the Bahraini vocational qualifications, and the national plan for career guidance. Guidance, in addition to preparing periodic studies on the labor market, monitoring labor market indicators, and creating non-traditional job opportunities that keep pace with technological changes, which contributes to drawing new areas for training and education, and openness. New horizons for citizens wishing to choose the vocational training path in preparation for their entry into the labor market.
Dr. Sheikha Rana affirmed the Higher Education Council’s keenness to implement programs and initiatives aimed at developing education curricula in private universities to meet the current and future needs of the labor market, which requires cooperation and integration between the relevant authorities. .
In this regard, she praised the continuous cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Higher Education Council, which resulted in many joint programs aimed at achieving common national goals.
