Bahrain Islamic Index ends trading higher

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): Bahrain’s general index closed today at 1,851.79 points, recording a decrease of 5.18 points from the previous close.


This decline is attributed to the decline in the financial sector and the materials sector.


The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 659.64 points, an increase of 1.18 points from the previous close.


The results indicated that 40 stock transactions were executed with a volume of 1,868,122, with a value of BD 161,689.


Investors trade mainly in the financial sector accounting for 56.73% of the total value of securities traded.
