Manama, November 1 (BNA) In implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, to cancel the flexible work permit and register all expatriates. In partnership with the private sector, Minister of Labor Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, Chairman of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, issued Resolution No. (1) of 2022 regarding assigning some of the tasks of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority to the workforce registration centers.
The Minister of Labor stressed that the decision to assign some tasks to employment registration centers for workers wishing to apply for a permit to practice professional activities is part of the measures taken by the Labor Market Regulatory Authority to implement the directives in partnership with the private sector, and to intensify inspection campaigns. Toughening up dealing with violators, linking professional work licenses to standards and qualifications, and providing the appropriate environment for workers that takes into account their rights and the effectiveness of their role in economic development.
