Kuwait Speaker: Parliamentary diplomacy is modern aspect of communication to protect people’s interests

Manama, October 21 (BNA) Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim stressed the importance of coordinating positions and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy in line with the interests of the peoples of the Arab Gulf and reflecting the leaders’ policy towards any country. Issues.

“Parliamentary diplomacy should play a major role in expressing the policy of leaders in each country as well as protecting the interests of the people,” he told the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

“In the Gulf, we use parliamentary diplomacy in a way that enhances a cooperative pattern that is reflected in the continuous coordination between democratic and parliamentary entities before engaging in any discussion at the regional and international levels,” he said.

Al-Ghanim was on a two-day visit to Bahrain, where he met the Vice King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Speaker of the House of Representatives Fawzia Zainal, and heads of parliamentary committees.

The Speaker of the Kuwaiti House of Representatives praised the depth of the historical relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, pointing to the distinguished role played by the President of the Kingdom of Bahrain in strengthening coordination and cooperation between the Bahraini Parliament and the Kuwaiti National Assembly.

He also praised the outstanding performance of the House of Representatives during Zeinal’s tenure as president.

He added that the distinguished relations between Bahrain and Kuwait are distinguished by their historical depth and strength at all levels, which regularly demonstrated the strong unity between the two countries.

“Our cooperation will continue to expand and become stronger and better,” Al-Ghanim said.
