Korean Arts Brass Band receives enthusiastic feedback from Bahraini audience

Manama, May 13 (BNA): The Korean Embassy, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), organized a concert by the Korean Brass Band in the Cultural Hall.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Musical Culture, attended the government concert, along with officials, the diplomatic corps and the culture-loving public in the Kingdom.

Korea’s ambassador to Bahrain, Hye Kwan Chung, said the band is one of the leading brass bands in Korea and has individually won many awards in international competitions.

Ambassador Chung shared his strong belief in the band’s performance, praising its ability to enchant the audience’s senses in the exquisite harmony of a brass band.

The performance took the audience on a journey through the original soundtrack, jazz arrangements, and some K-pop tracks. The band’s most prominent performance in Bahrain was the presentation of the famous Khaleeji song “Ma’akum Khabar Zain” in collaboration with Dana Al-Abdullah, pianist from the Bahrain Defense Force Band.

“Before the performance, we were told that the Bahraini audience is relatively calm and reserved, but in the performance we were surprised to see their enthusiastic and heartwarming reactions. The active interaction with the audience made us more active while playing on stage,” said the head of the band, Bo Min Jeong.
