Dr. Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the opening ceremony and public discussion sessions that highlighted the role of religion in mitigating the repercussions of Covid-19, relief aid for victims of epidemics in poor countries, powers, inequality, peacemaking, and other key issues.
He attended the European Union session that focused on the relationship between policy-making and religious values, especially tolerance, stressing the need to include religious practices in building a diverse, open and peaceful society.
He also participated in a religious ceremony held at the “Congregation of the Seven Churches”, the construction of which dates back to the Middle Ages in Bologna.
