Manama, November 18 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. ) He received in his office at the Valley Palace Dr. Thomas James Rosednich, CEO of the American Academy of Sports and a member of the General Sports Authority. The meeting was attended by the CEO of the General Sports Authority, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar.
His Highness welcomed Dr. James to Bahrain, praising his contributions to advancing the sports sector in the Kingdom. He discussed with him ways to enhance cooperation between the General Sports Authority and the American Academy of Sports in a way that contributes to strengthening joint relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, especially in the sports field.
His Highness praised the cooperation between the American Academy, the General Sports Authority and other sports institutions with the aim of implementing joint programs that can achieve positive gains towards transforming sports into a professionalism. He pointed to the role of sport as a tributary of the national economy towards achieving the goals of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
For his part, Dr. James expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praising his distinguished efforts in achieving qualitative leaps in Bahraini sports and enhancing the advanced position occupied by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of global sports. He stressed that the American Academy of Sports is proud of the partnership and cooperation with all Bahraini sports bodies.
