Khalid bin Hamad congratulates Muharraq on qualifying for semi final

Manama, September 22 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended today, Monday, the football match. The match, which ended with Muharraq winning 3-0, was held at the stadium of the late Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the Muharraq Cultural and Sports Club, and it came within the quarter-finals of the Asian Football Cup. Federation Cup (AFC).

It was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Football Association, and His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, President of Muharraq Club. His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadeq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, and His Excellency Mr. Hashem Haidar, President of the Lebanese Football Association.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khaled praised the good performance shown by the players in the match, which reflects the team’s preparation for the match. His Highness also congratulated the team on winning the match and qualifying for the AFC Cup semi-finals, wishing them success in their upcoming matches.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled also thanked the fans and spectators for their keenness to attend the stadium and support the club in such an important match, while adhering to the precautionary measures to combat Covid-19.
