Justice Minister praises BBK’s keenness to support insolvent persons

Manama, April 10 (BNA) Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, affirmed that the Zakat and Charity Fund was able to consolidate the role of zakat and alms in the field of development in the country. At the individual and social levels.


He stressed the Fund’s keenness to revive the Zakat corner, by ensuring that it benefits from a large segment of needy families in the Kingdom, adding that it will continue to implement its projects and activities, thanks to the continuous support of the rational leadership and contributions. This came during the minister’s speech when he received here today the CEO of the Bahrain and Kuwait Group, Dr. Abdulrahman Saif, and the head of marketing and institutional communication at BBK Zain Al-Zayani.


During the meeting, the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait donated 200,000 dinars to the “Shares of the Two Parties” project as a contribution to repaying the debts of 50 insolvent persons.


Sheikh Khalid bin Ali expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait for its support for such a humanitarian and charitable project, indicating that it is a role model in promoting social solidarity, within its role in community partnership, and in order to contribute to strengthening institutional charitable work. .


Dr. Abdul Rahman Saif explained that the donation comes in line with BBK’s belief in the need to support efforts to achieve solidarity and social cohesion, praising the effective role played by the Zakat Fund and charities to help all needy groups.

The Zakat and Charitable Fund launched the “Share of the Two Parties” project in 2017, with the aim of consolidating the concepts of social solidarity and community partnership. Last year, it paid approximately 3.9 million Bahraini dinars to settle the debts of 938 insolvent persons.
