Malta, March 27 (BNA): Striker Matteo Retigui and midfielder Matteo Pesina led Italy to a 2-0 victory over Malta in the Group C match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers on Sunday.
Defending champions Italy were looking to get back on track after starting the season with a 2-1 loss to England on Thursday.
England comfortably beat Ukraine 2-0 to put Gareth Southgate’s side in control of Group C earlier on Sunday, according to Reuters.
