Israeli President visits Bahrain National Museum

Manama, Dec. 5 (BNA): The President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, visited the Bahrain National Museum, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif Rashid Al-Zayani, and was received by the President of the State for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.


The delegation was briefed on the museum’s artifacts that reflect the Kingdom’s history and cultural heritage.


The visit included a tour of the main lobby of the museum, which hosts an art exhibition on the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to the Vatican during his participation in the Forum of Dialogue between East and West for human coexistence.


The Israeli President toured the most important halls that contain the historical artifacts of the Kingdom more than 4,000 years ago, and the hall of the Dilmun Cemetery, which was dedicated to the archaeological site of the Dilmun Hills, which is registered on the United Nations Educational World Heritage List. scientific and cultural organization (UNESCO).


He was briefed on the museum’s role in building communication between Bahrain and the world and introducing its visitors to the Kingdom’s culture, heritage and activities.
