England’s Livingstone out of Pakistan tour with knee injury

Rawalpindi, Dec 5 (BNA): England’s Liam Livingston has been ruled out for the remainder of their Pakistan tour after the all-rounder suffered a knee injury in his first Test in Rawalpindi, the team said.

Reuters reports that the 29-year-old, who made nine in the first innings and was seven in the second when England declared, bruised his right knee in action on Friday.

“He will return to the UK on Tuesday and begin rehabilitation with the ECB and Lancashire medical teams, respectively,” the England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement.

The visitors have not yet made a decision to call up a replacement.

England, on their first Test tour of Pakistan since 2005, are also due to play in Multan and Karachi.
