Iraqi oil deliveries to Jordan resumed: Jordanian Energy Ministry

Amman, May 22 (BNA): The Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced today the resumption of transporting Iraqi crude oil to Jordan.

Iman Awad, director of the Oil and Gas Directorate at the ministry, said that 422 tankers of Iraqi crude oil, with a total of 105,000 barrels, according to what was reported by Petra.

Awad added that about 300 tankers had already arrived in Jordan, loaded with Iraqi Kirkuk crude oil, with a quantity of 80,000 barrels unloaded at the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company Limited (JPRC), based on the memorandum of understanding and the contract. Signed the export of Iraqi oil to Jordan.

Awad pointed out that the quantities of oil imported from Iraq constitute about 7% of the Kingdom’s needs for crude oil.
