Interior Minister visits WDS Riyadh 2022

Riyadh, March 6 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the opening of the World Defense Exhibition WDS Riyadh 2022.

The visit comes after an invitation from the Saudi Minister of Interior, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised the strong brotherly relations that bind the two countries, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

He congratulated Saudi Arabia on the opening of the first edition of WDS Riyadh 2022, which opened today in the Saudi capital, and attracted more than 590 exhibitors from 42 countries and 100 delegations from 70 countries.

The minister was briefed on the latest security and defense equipment and systems, noting that the exhibition represents an ideal opportunity to transfer these industries and establish partnerships that contribute to enhancing regional stability and promoting sustainable development.

He stressed the importance of modernizing work mechanisms and systems in the various sectors of the ministry and training personal cadres to keep pace with changes and security challenges.
