Manama, September 19 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today members of the Husseiniya Expenses Commission.
The governor of the capital and the director general of media and security culture attended.
The Minister welcomed the members who expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty’s support for the Ashura season. They highly valued the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his role in ensuring the successful elements of the season.
The Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude to the members of the Commission in the Capital Governorate for the kind gesture and their role in organizing the Ashura season. He also valued their positive role in strengthening precautionary measures against Covid-19 to protect Bahrain’s achievement in controlling spread rates. He also commended the commitment and cooperation of Matams chiefs, directors and visitors in the next steps against the virus.
The Minister of Interior also thanked the Capital Governorate and the Governor for enhancing interaction and removing obstacles. He also appreciated the role of police officers, officers, non-commissioned officers and other ranks in the success of the season.
The members expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for the success of the season, appreciating his directives to provide the necessary facilities to perform Ashura rituals and enhance public safety. The meeting also reviewed topics of common interest.
