Interior Minister honour Quran contest winners

Manama, April 17 (BNA): The Ministry of Interior’s fifth Quran competition concluded today.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Public Security Security.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior also attended the conclusion of the competition organized by the General Directorate of Security Guards.

The minister praised the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, of the Holy Quran.

He praised the royal sponsorship of the Bahrain Grand Prize for the Qur’an, which supported the Kingdom’s position in the Islamic world.

Two hundred officers, non-commissioned officers and civilian competitors were competing for the 2023 edition, which covered five categories for men and three more categories for women.

The competition supervisor, Colonel Faisal Mohsen Al-Arjani, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the minister, praising the support of the staff, and thanked the head of public security, members of the jury and the organizers.

The Minister honored the sons of the martyrs of duty and the wounded soldiers who participated in the competition and the senior winners. He also honored the members of the jury, the organizers and the Directorate of Security Guards.
