Manama, May 28 (BNA): The Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, attended today the ceremony of the General Administration for the Implementation of Judgments and Alternative Judgment.
The event was held to honor the role of sponsors and partners in the success of the “Fasel Khair” initiatives. Senior officials, sponsors and partners attended.
The Minister of Interior affirmed that “Fasil Khair” is a joint project to highlight the human conscience and the richness of Bahrain’s traditions and people. He said that it represents one of the initiatives of the national plan to spread the spirit of belonging to the nation and consolidate the values of nationalism (Bahraini). It is also an essential approach to the cultural journey of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed his full gratitude for the humanity and vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which reflects his interest in citizens by providing a decent life for all of them. He said that the homeland and citizens are the core of an approach protected by His Majesty the King as part of his wise leadership of a country of tolerance, peace and national values inherited through generations.
He also praised the approach of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who contributed to achieving the highest levels of human and civilizational development by protecting human rights in all aspects.
For his part, the Director General of the Implementation of Alternative Sentences and Judgments said that the “Fael Khair” initiative strengthened Bahrain’s role and position, which will remain throughout history, the land of goodness and blessings that enriched during the reform era, His Majesty the King. He said that the Directorate was honored to hold the event under the auspices of the Minister of Interior, indicating his keenness and support for the initiative within the framework of the development and modernization process carried out by the Ministry of Interior and the comprehensive national strategy for the protection of human rights, which includes the provision of economic resources. The Director General said that the first campaign to list the names of unpaid loan holders received positive responses, including the support given to the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and the Supreme Council. President of the Supreme Council for Women, by paying off all the debts of the females on the list. In addition, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), as part of the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and other organizations, companies and citizens donated.
He revealed that more than 93 media campaigns were organized, which resulted in collecting more than two million Bahraini dinars in donations to pay off loans for 500 cases. In addition, he praised the dedication of donors to donate through more than 32,000 electronic payment transactions.
The ceremony also included a short video presentation about the initiative, which was launched three years ago, and its achievements.
After that, the Minister of Interior honored the initiative’s sponsors, partners, influencers on social media, members of the initiative committees, and the organizers.
The initiative was launched based on the directives of the Minister of Interior. It is followed by the Director General for Enforcement of Provisions and Alternative Provisions for Acceptance of Donations for Those Who Couldn’t Pay Their Loans and Those Who Were Sentenced to Imprisonment.
