Manama, March 6 (BNA) Information Minister Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi met at the construction site of the new news studio with employees of the News Department. The meeting was held in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs Abdullah Khaled Al-Dosari.
The Minister of Information thanked the employees of the News Department for their efforts in covering various local events and highlighting the national achievements made under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also praised their role in highlighting the achievements of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Minister of Information praised the great development witnessed by the news production sector in terms of focusing on national achievements and reaching a responsible national media scene based on accurate information, good analysis and continuous verification to reach the largest possible segment of the local and Gulf community.
The Minister exchanged with the attendees views on promoting news work and keeping pace with the rapid developments in this vital sector. He also shed light on the new news studio project, which is considered the largest on the level of official channels in the region. The new state-of-the-art studio is expected to open in the second semester of this year. It is considered one of the latest projects implemented by the Ministry of Information, which will radically change news bulletins and programs.
