Information Minister chairs BIPD regular meeting

Manama, December 4 (BNA) Minister of Information Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) in the presence of the Institute’s board members and the Executive Director. .

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees extended his sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day.

He described the achievements of Bahraini women as a result of the patronage and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. .

The meeting then shed light on the programs implemented in 2021 and the plans to be implemented in the next phase, which aim to increase political awareness and provide support for parliamentary and municipal work.

He also highlighted the results of the recent visit of the Institute’s delegation to Egypt.

The Council praised the results of the visit, during which a number of cooperation agreements were signed with Egyptian institutions. He stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation with Arab and international institutions to achieve the Institute’s goals.

The Board of Trustees stressed the need to intensify efforts through specific programs for the sixth session of the parliamentary and municipal elections next year to enhance electoral awareness and urge effective participation in the elections.
