Abu Dhabi, Nov. 16 (BNA): Minister of Information, Dr. Ramadan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, participated today in the sessions of the second day of the Global Media Conference, in which the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, participated. Al Nahyan, issued a statement on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, which is celebrated around the world on November 16 of each year.
The Minister of Information praised the efforts made by the sisterly UAE to support and consolidate the foundations of human coexistence and peace as common human values necessary to achieve security and stability for countries and peoples.
He affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and thanks to the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom, like the United Arab Emirates, adopts a noble humanitarian approach and message to strengthen the pillars of dialogue and human brotherhood among the peoples of the world.
The Minister of Information indicated that the Kingdom launched many pioneering initiatives in this field through a royal vision that believes that human coexistence, tolerance and dialogue are a fundamental pillar to support the efforts of countries in the field of comprehensive and sustainable development.
Dr. Ramadan Al-Nuaimi confirmed that the “Bahrain Dialogue Forum between East and West for Human Coexistence,” which was held under the auspices of His Majesty the King, coincided with the historic official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Vatican. And the announcement of His Eminence, the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, as well as the announcement of the establishment of the “King Hamad International Award for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence.” The culmination of a series of prominent initiatives emanating from Bahrain’s historical and civilized model in the field of peaceful coexistence.
The Minister of Information praised the speech delivered by the Emirati Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence today, in which he stressed the importance of the role of media and communication in developing the capabilities of local and international communities to adopt the principles of tolerance and human brotherhood, stressing that the nature of the current challenges requires the media to live up to its responsibilities and play an effective role. And influential in building a more cooperative and tolerant global society.
