Manama, June 26 (BNA) An Indonesian parliamentary delegation headed by Vice Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament Nono Sampuno visited the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) to learn about training programs and strategies, especially in the field of training. Islamic finance. The delegation, which was received by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, also discussed ways of cooperation between the Institute and the financial institutions in Indonesia.


Dr. Sheikh briefed the delegation on the important role played by the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Financial Studies in supporting the banking and financial sector in Bahrain and the region, by providing its world-class expertise and capabilities to employees working in the industry, especially in the Islamic field. The delegation also learned about BIBF’s leading academic and professional programs that have been developed in cooperation with some of the world’s leading academic and training institutions, with a special focus on Islamic finance. During the visit, Dr. Al-Sheikh highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Institute and other banking financial institutions in the region and the world, as part of the Institute’s vision to enhance the performance of human capital in accordance with the latest international practices.


Sampuno praised BIBF’s outstanding performance, saying: “We look forward to strengthening cooperation with the BIBF to transfer its wealth of knowledge and experience to Indonesian institutions operating in the banking and financial sector. In addition to strengthening the relations between Bahrain and Indonesia, this cooperation will also improve the performance of the Indonesian banking industry, particularly in the field of Islamic banking.


At the end of the visit, the delegation was taken on a tour through the facilities of the BIBF Institute building, where they praised the unique performance of the Institute and its advanced capabilities, as well as the great technical support provided to students and trainees.
