India’s Ambassador hails Bahrain’s decisions following success in confronting COVID-19

Manama, September 25 (BNA) India’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, praised the Kingdom for its success in achieving the level of green alert after the decline in cases.

The diplomat also thanked Bahrain for removing India from the red list in light of the noticeable improvement in the coronavirus situation in India.

The ambassador said that Indian citizens with valid visas are now able to travel to Bahrain, where he has virtually two-hour contact with the Indian community in the kingdom to address urgent consular and labor issues.

The Ambassador told the Open House that the visit of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mr. V. Muralidaran to Bahrain on August 30 – September 1 was very successful and provided impetus to various aspects of bilateral cooperation.

The ambassador briefed the community members on his visit to two residential camps where he interacted with Indian workers and briefed them on issues related to overseas employment, labor laws, welfare and protection measures taken by the two governments.

He urged community members to visit the embassy’s website and social media accounts regularly for the latest information.
