Washington, June 14 (BNA) A parliamentary delegation visiting the United States held a panel discussion with senior officials and researchers at the Middle East Institute in Washington.


The discussion dealt with Bahrain’s foreign relations and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in deepening relations, converging viewpoints, addressing various issues and contributing to promoting development efforts that would lead to stability and a better future.


The delegation reviewed the relations between Bahrain and the United States, advanced cooperation and broad partnership in all fields.


The Bahraini MPs affirmed their keenness to use parliamentary diplomacy to enhance friendship and consolidate joint action.


The debate, which took place at the Middle East Institute in Washington, brought together Representatives Ammar Al-Bannai, Muhammad Al-Abbasi, Ammar Cumber, Hisham Al-Ashery, and Gerald M.


The delegation stressed the importance of strengthening the joint work mechanism and exchanging experiences between the House of Representatives and the US Congress.


They noted that the legislative branch in Bahrain attaches great importance to new horizons for parliamentary cooperation with the United States, and stressed the importance of strengthening relations, enhancing mutual trust and activating open communication to discuss various issues of common interest.


The delegation highlighted the achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the advanced indicators in the development of the country thanks to the initiatives and strategies adopted by the House of Representatives and the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince. Prince and Prime Minister.


The legislators referred to the growth of democracy and openness in Bahrain, which stems from the national spirit based on promoting the principles of coexistence, pluralism, societal diversity and spreading peace and harmony, an approach that Bahrain has followed since ancient times.


Feierstein stressed the importance of opening up to broader horizons of cooperation between the Ministry of the Middle East and the Bahraini Parliament.


He said that Bahrain’s achievements in a short period since the start of the comprehensive development process reflect the will to achieve progress.


He praised the delegation’s transparency and openness in reviewing various issues and providing clarifications on the official positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding various developments.
