Manama, November 3 (BNA) Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava praised the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which reflected the vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain to build bridges between religions and promote the message of tolerance and peace.
The Indian diplomat said that the reception hosted by His Majesty the King in honor of His Holiness Pope Francis represented a historic moment, describing the Pope’s visits as reflecting the importance of peace in the world.
He pointed out that the Indian community in Bahrain testifies to the extent of interfaith coexistence and interfaith harmony, pointing to the presence of a 200-year-old temple in the Kingdom, which is evidence of the country’s long-standing embrace of different religions.
