Manama, August 15 (BNA) Lulu Hypermarket in Galleria Mall announced the launch of the “INDIA UTSAV” festival as part of the celebrations of the 76th Indian Independence Day.
The festival was inaugurated by Piyush Srivastava, Indian Ambassador to Bahrain in the presence of Lulu Hypermarket management, guests and shoppers. The opening ceremony also included patriotic songs, dance performances, colorful costumes and a presentation of Indian cuisine, fruits and vegetables.
India Utsav, which celebrates the 76th Indian Independence Day, is an annual immersive shopping festival.
India’s Independence Day celebrations extend to promotions of a wide range of Indian food, agricultural and fashionable products as well as a curated range of designer wear perfect for festivals and weddings.
‘India Utsav’ will emphasize the three elements that animate LuLu’s perspective in India: commerce, cuisine (and food security) and culture.
The opening ceremony included dance sessions for Indian children representing different states of India.
The festival will run till August 24 at all Lulu outlets and in the online portal (E-com) and also offers food promotions for India’s best regional cuisine, deals on all Indian products and fashion wear.
At the ceremony, the ambassador extended his greetings to all members of the Indian community residing in Bahrain, and wished the people of Bahrain success and success.
