India chooses to bowl first in second T20 vs Sri Lanka

New Delhi, Feb. 26 (BNA): India won the ball race in Sri Lanka and opted to run in the second Twenty20 competition on Saturday.

The host country advanced 1-0 in the three-match series after winning the first match of 62 rounds in Lucknow.

Dharamsala is the venue for the last two consecutive games of this short series, according to the Associated Press.

The Himalayan town has seen steady rain over the past few days. However, the second T20 will start on time.

The pitch at HPCA Court should assist batsmen even though the grass is evenly covered on the surface. There is little chance of dew unlike previous T20 games.

India went with a side that did not change. Prior to this second match, opening player Ruturaj Gaikwad was disqualified from the entire series. He hurt his wrist before the first T20.

Sri Lanka has made two changes with the arrival of Binura Fernando and Danushka Gunathilaka to strengthen bowling and batting respectively.

The Visitors have lost five of their last six in their 20s and need to break that losing streak to survive this streak.

India is experiencing a winning streak in 10 consecutive T20s that runs through November 2021.
