iGA participates in Bahrain Sports Day activities

Manama, February 11 (BNA) Information and eGovernment Authority employees participated in the sixth edition of the annual Bahrain Sports Day at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Participation included a range of sporting events. The session was attended by Muhammad Ali Al Qaed, CEO of the Information and eGovernment Authority, senior management and employees.

Based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today was half a working day for government agencies so that their employees could participate in the activities.

The Leader expressed his appreciation for the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister and the government that supported the health and well-being of citizens and residents in the Kingdom, especially during the outbreak of the epidemic.

Bahrain Sports Day contributes to spreading the spirit of community sports among the public, thanks to the support it receives from His Majesty the King for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the directives of the First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He highlighted the positive feedback Bahrain Sports Day received from employees and other segments of society who actively participated in its activities.

The Social Committee of the Information and eGovernment Authority prepared the employee sports program for the event, which was held in cooperation with the Bahrain Sports Federation.

The employees participated in a range of activities, including running, handball, basketball, fencing, tennis and other competitions and exercises provided by sports coaches. Precautionary measures were followed in accordance with the instructions of the National Task Force to combat the Corona Virus (Covid-19).
