iGA, Directorate of Criminal Information launch Good Conduct eService for Bahrainis, non-Bahrainis via Bahrain.bh

Manama, July 20 (BNA) The Criminal Information Department at the Ministry of Interior announced the launch of a new electronic service in cooperation with the Information and e-Government Authority. It is available through the national portal bahrain.bh, and it allows Bahrainis, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council and expatriates who have previously worked or resided in the Kingdom to request the issuance of certificates of good conduct from abroad quickly and easily.

The new electronic service adds to the existing set of good conduct certificate services provided by the administration on the portal to citizens and residents, which includes issuing good conduct certificates, inquiring about the status, and verifying the validity of certificates.

Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and expatriates wishing to use the new electronic service must apply using the ID card numbers issued to them during their stay in Bahrain, and they must be outside the Kingdom when submitting the application. Their fingerprints must also be registered with the Ministry of Interior. For users who are not yet registered, a notification will pop up directing them to visit the nearest police station in their country of residence to complete registration procedures and upload their fingerprint forms. Those who are still residing in Bahrain and who wish to issue the certificates immediately after leaving the Kingdom can visit one of the fingerprint registration offices located in the police departments of the Directorate.

Using the electronic service through the national portal is a straightforward process. Users can simply enter their Bahraini ID card numbers and select ‘Continue’. Once the system selects the fingerprints registered with the Ministry of Interior, an application form will appear. The user can then enter personal details and other information such as the purpose of their requests, the name of the entities that will receive the certificate, their country of residence, type of business, and their preferred method of collection as residents within the Kingdom. Their certificates can be issued online or printed, while those living abroad can only issue them online.

Once you fill in the details, the information will be displayed for your review along with the service fee. Users can then select ‘Pay’ to finish the procedures. Payment can be made by debit or credit card. A reference number will also be issued. Applicants must keep all receipts as evidence either by printing them out or sending soft copies to their emails. If there is no registered fingerprint, a notification will be displayed on the page.
