In her remarks, Turkish Ambassador Esin Çakil said that the joint breakfast during the holy month of Ramadan reflects a unique aspect of the strong and deep relationship between Bahrain and Turkey.

Bahrain and Turkey celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Members of the Turkish-Bahrain Parliamentary Friendship Group met last week with Ambassador Çakıl and discussed concrete steps to deepen parliamentary cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in trade and tourism.

Çakıl, who was appointed to Bahrain in 2021, is the third Turkish female ambassador to the kingdom after Hilal Başkal (2001-2005) and Hatun Demirer (2013-2018).
