ICDO Decoration for Civil Defence director-general

Geneva, October 31 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the International Civil Defense Organization, Ngobo Yap Mariatu, honored a number of personalities during a celebration marking the organization’s ninetieth anniversary.

She presented to the Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier Ali Muhammad Al-Houti, the International Officer of Civil Defense Medal, and the Civil Defense Medal, in appreciation of the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting cooperation in the field of training and capacity building.

Brigadier General. Al-Houti stressed the importance of local and international coordination to mitigate the harmful effects of disasters and accidents and to provide a safe environment for the population.

He affirmed Bahrain’s support for civil defense to face challenges and enhance the level of safety within the framework of efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals.

The Secretary-General of the International Organization for Human Development, Ngobo Yap Mariatu, thanked for this initiative, praising the organization’s efforts to protect human lives and promote building national and global competencies.
