HRH the Deputy King receives Their Excellencies the GCC Ministers of Health

Manama, October 21 (BNA) His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received today their Excellencies the health ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries participating in the seventh meeting of the Health Ministers Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the health ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries No. 84. The General Conference hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain at Riffa Palace.

His Highness welcomed the ministers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing them success in the results of the meetings aimed at strengthening health cooperation among the GCC countries to achieve their common goals.

His Highness highlighted the role of the Council of Health Ministers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in following up health plans and programs that aim to continue preserving the health and safety of GCC citizens and residents in accordance with the desired ambition.

His Highness stressed that the exceptional circumstances created by the global spread of the Covid-19 virus proved that investing in society is the best way to achieve success in all fields and overcome challenges.

His Highness pointed out the importance of preserving the achievements made in the health sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and continuing to push towards broader horizons to achieve sustainability in providing high-quality and effective health services in accordance with regional aspirations.

His Royal Highness stressed that the success of the Kingdom of Bahrain in its mitigation efforts is due to the tremendous efforts made by healthcare professionals on the front lines in the Kingdom and supportive staff, as well as the insistence, awareness and responsibility of Bahraini citizens and residents in the following actions.

For their part, Their Excellencies the Ministers of Health of the Gulf Cooperation Council states expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and expressed their thanks and appreciation for the commitment to continue strengthening the joint Gulf cooperation in the health sector, and for Bahrain’s contribution to the success of this cooperation. The 84th General Conference of Health Ministers in the Cooperation Council Countries.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, His Excellency Dr. Nayef Falah Muhammad Al-Hajraf, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and His Excellency the Minister of Health Faeq bint Saeed Al-Saleh also attended the meeting.
