Manama, October 25 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board, received today Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham. Bin Tariq Al Said at the headquarters of the Economic Development Board.
The meeting came on the occasion of the visit of His Majesty the King to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, which are constantly being strengthened with the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples.
His Highness highlighted the strength of bilateral cooperation, which is still reinforced by agreements and mutual visits between the two countries. In this regard, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad referred to the recently signed agreements and memoranda of understanding, which would enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation that would benefit both countries.
Then His Majesty the Sultan of Oman was briefed by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, on the Kingdom’s economic performance, the public sector’s work mechanisms, in addition to the Kingdom’s achievements under the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa also briefed His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq on developments within the framework of the Kingdom’s economic recovery plan, including major development projects such as the great efforts made by the Bahrain team to achieve the desired sustainable economic goals.
The presentation also included an introduction to the programs within the framework of the government’s priorities, and its role in advancing the Kingdom’s comprehensive economic growth.
Moreover, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain presented by the Economic Development Board to investors, as well as strategies to enhance investment cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and global markets, which contributes to attracting foreign direct investment to the region. Kingdom to create opportunities for citizens.
The meeting was also attended by a number of senior officials in Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.
