Manama, April 7 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today the Speaker of Parliament, His Excellency Fawzia Abdullah Zainal, and the Speaker of the Shura Council. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh and members of the two councils at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.
His Highness praised the support of the Shura Council and the House of Representatives for the Kingdom’s national development.
His Highness indicated that cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities supports the comprehensive development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Highness indicated that Bahrain is on the path of development to achieve the Kingdom’s ambition.
His Highness explained that the cooperation of the government and the legislative authority helps in forming a national strategy that supports the development of the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the role of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council for their contribution to the Kingdom’s present and future.
His Highness affirmed that through cooperation, the Kingdom will prosper and achieve the interests of citizens.
His Highness indicated that the Kingdom will prosper through cooperation and the interests of the citizens will be achieved.
His Highness noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, is united through its people, traditions and national approach, a unity that was crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His Highness reviewed a number of issues of national importance, stressing that the economic indicators are positive and give reason for optimism in promoting growth and development.
His Highness pointed out that enhancing economic development prospects is a continuous effort that provides high-quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens.
His Highness affirmed that the rest of the government’s program 2019-2022 will be completed, pointing to the contribution of the late Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in leading the implementation of the program.
His Highness also thanked the Shura Council and Parliament for their role in making the program a success and for their support for the economic recovery plan.
In addition, His Royal Highness indicated that the Covid-19 pandemic was a global and national challenge, which the Bahrain team, including members of the legislative authority, faced with flexibility, and referred to the Kingdom’s success in addressing the epidemic.
His Highness reviewed regional and international developments, and His Highness indicated that global challenges have affected energy supplies and commodities and their prices. In this regard, His Highness indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain will overcome these challenges with joint efforts and due to the failure of local companies to raise the prices of goods.
For their part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the Shura Council, and members of both houses expressed their thanks and appreciation for His Highness’ commitment to promoting joint initiatives between the executive and legislative authorities to benefit them. The Kingdom and achieving the aspirations of its citizens within the framework of His Majesty the King’s comprehensive development programme.
