His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation: May 31, 2022
Manama, May 31 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today at Gudaibiya Palace, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
His Highness highlighted the continuous development of Bahraini-Russian cooperation and coordination in areas of common interest.
Regional and international issues were discussed, in particular the recent developments in Ukraine.
His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister stressed the importance of diplomatic solutions and dialogue in accordance with the rules of international law, resolving the conflict by peaceful means, supporting humanitarian relief efforts and establishing lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.
For his part, Lavrov expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, for the warm reception and generous hospitality. His Excellency Lavrov concluded, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and development.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
