Bahrain, Oman parliamentary cooperation, coordination stressed

Manama, May 31 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the deep and solid relations between Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman and the bonds of brotherhood, kinship, and unity of purpose and destiny that support them.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives said that the relations are a role model at the official and popular levels and in all areas of cooperation, especially parliamentary, as it strengthens the distinguished relationship between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. .

Zainal’s comments came while she was holding talks with the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, who headed the parliamentary delegation visiting Bahrain.

Al-Maawali stressed that the visit and meetings with officials in Bahrain are an opportunity for representatives of the two peoples in the two countries to hold fruitful dialogues and constructive discussions.

He added that it will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations, identifying aspects of complementarity and coordinating positions and decisions in regional and international parliamentary forums.
