Manama, July 26 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with HE Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa at Riffa Palace.
His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the culture and antiquities sector in highlighting the Kingdom’s identity and history, and praised the extensive achievements made by the sector, including the registration of a number of Bahraini heritage monuments on the World Heritage List.
His Royal Highness praised the commitment of Her Excellency Sheikha Mai during her tenure as President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and her contributions to strengthening Bahrain’s cultural and historical position at the global level.
For her part, Her Excellency Sheikha Mai expressed her appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for his support in the culture and antiquities sector, which is vital to the success of the sector in achieving its goals.
