Manama, November 30 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Chairman of Muharraq Sports Club, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, members of the Muharraq Football Club Board of Directors. As well as the technical and administrative staff of the club in Riffa Palace.
His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the victory of Muharraq Club reflects the Bahraini spirit of determination and competition.
His Highness pointed out that the achievements made in the sports sector at the regional and global levels are the result of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated Muharraq Sports Club for its honorable achievements in winning the Asian Cup for the second time.
His Highness praised the sports skills of the players, which are at an international level, confirming their recent success.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad indicated that this great achievement would not have been achieved without the concerted efforts and design of the technical and administrative staff of the Muharraq Sports Club and the players.
The result of these joint efforts was a remarkable victory, which reinforced the distinguished record of Muharraq Sports Club and Bahrain’s record of achievements.
His Highness expressed his thanks to the Muharraq Sports Club players and the Bahraini fans who supported the club until its victory, wishing him further success in the upcoming tournaments.
His Highness also praised the efforts of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs. Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in developing the Bahraini sports sector and providing the required support for further achievements.
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed, on behalf of all the club’s members, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for His Highness’ support for the sports sector, which led to this achievement.
