Our clients specialize in marine repair and fabrication. Headquartered in Bahrain, the company has 5,000 employees and generates over $160 million in revenue. They are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to be based in Bahrain.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Formulate and manage a long-term strategy for human resources in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Human Resources Department. Participates in the development of the department’s goals, objectives, and systems.
• Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures, and prepares and maintains a handbook on policies and procedures.
• Make a high-level recommendation to the Senior HR Manager on Organizational Development, workforce planning, management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and talent management.
• Direct the development of HR operational policies that cover all relevant legislative requirements and ensure that they are met and adhered to
• Formulate initiatives and programs to develop knowledge, skills and competencies in line with the company’s strategy and market practices.
• Drafting a corporate compensation plan that ensures attracting and retaining the right talent in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Establishes and oversees management of the recruitment process, ensuring potential candidates are targeted in the most effective manner, and deploying appropriate processes to maximize fit between first choice candidates and company requirements.
• To ensure an acceptable level of quality and environment, the OHSAS and Security Management System are maintained in accordance with recognized business practices, the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
• Coordinates and directs the application, interpretation, and management of company employee policies, procedures, and plans, covering vacation/leave plans, performance appraisals, salary advances, allowances, deductions, transfers, various company benefits/plans, government social insurance law and work-related and disability compensation for all company employees .
• Directs the activities and manages all travel and transportation arrangements for all expatriate employees and their family members.
• Directs, advises, coordinates and applies appropriate practice techniques to maintain good industry relationships.
• Maintain company-wide payroll for employees to include timely and accurate processing, reporting, reconciliation, entitlements, bonuses and other company payment policies.
• Develop a matrix to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, human resource initiatives, policies, and processes/procedures.
• Provide advice and direction to the Senior HR Manager and directly supervise employee relations, compensation and benefit plans.
• Preparing manpower/salary/allowance statistics for the use of the company’s management and board of directors.

Qualifications and requirements:
• University degree in technical or economic business studies with specialized knowledge of business study and organization in addition to knowledge of law and training.
• At least 15 years of industry/manufacturing experience.
• High degree of communication skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Ability to interact and negotiate with senior executives.
• Trustworthy, honest and maintain confidentiality.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Strong leadership, problem solving and decision-making ability.
• High level of leadership qualities and management skills.
• An outstanding level of managerial ability to lead and direct a large team of supervisors and personals.
• Ability to initiate improvements in work methods with active subordinate participation.
• The ability to take initiative and think logically to solve problems with a focus on the long-term aspects.
