Foreign Minister holds talks with UK Prime Minister’s Special Representative

Manama, February 13 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani held a dialogue session today with the Special Representative of the Prime Minister and Minister of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, the United Nations and the Council of Ministers. The Commonwealth of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Office and Development (FCDO), Lord Ahmed Tariq Ahmed, on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The two sides discussed the distinguished friendly relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are constantly developing at all levels, and ways to enhance cooperation in vital fields for the benefit of the two countries.

They also discussed the comprehensive development efforts made by the esteemed government in all fields, specifically in the field of sustainable development, protection and promotion of human rights, combating human trafficking, and ways to develop joint cooperation in this field and other fields that will enhance the historical and close partnership and friendship between the two friendly countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts and strengthening bilateral cooperation in all vital fields, emphasizing the strength of relations between the two countries.

The discussion session witnessed the participation of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. Director General of Ministry Affairs Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, UK Ambassador to Bahrain Roderick Drummond and the delegation accompanying the Minister on the British side.
