Housing ministry holds meeting with real estate developers


Manama, August 3 (BNA) The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held a meeting with representatives of real estate development companies in the Kingdom.


The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, and Dr. Khalid Abdullah, General Manager of the Housing Bank.


The meeting was held to discuss the provision of suitable housing projects for the beneficiaries of the new housing finance.

The ministry stressed that partnership with the private sector is a priority of the government, especially in the social housing option, which is embodied in the financing of the new housing launched yesterday, which allows citizens to purchase it.


She indicated that she had adopted a work program aimed at increasing the supply of housing units and directing them to citizens wishing to benefit from the new financing services, referring to the government land development rights program launched by the ministry in its pilot phase of construction. 132 housing units with a real estate developer have reached their final stages.
