Horse show to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 70th anniversary

London, September 22 (BNA) The British Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022 will see Queen Elizabeth celebrate her platinum jubilee with hundreds of horses and 1,000 artists to celebrate the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne.

The magnificent 90-minute military, musical, and equestrian parade will culminate from May 12-15 with a final live show in front of the Queen, who is a fan of horses. The “Platinum Jubilee Celebration: A Race Through History” on the grounds of Windsor Castle will be attended by more than 10 countries to which the King has toured on state visits.

Simon Brooks-Ward, director and producer of Platinum Jubilee Celebration, said in an interview at Buckingham Palace, during a media launch on Tuesday, according to Reuters.

“(It will be) through actors… artists and… more than 500 horses and a thousand people taking part in dance, music and performances.”

Elizabeth, the longest-reigning in British history, ascended the throne on February 6, 1952 after the death of her father, George VI.

Celebrations will take place in the UK throughout 2022, with a special weekend of events in June.

Proceeds from the platinum jubilee celebration at Windsor Castle will go to charity. Tickets for the equestrian show will go on sale on Wednesday.
