Manama, October 3 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa presided over the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers at Sakhir Palace. The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Majesty the King praised the Kingdom’s wide achievements, and praised the outstanding performance of the government, led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing the comprehensive development wheel in Bahrain and empowering citizens to achieve their aspirations.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa praised the national initiatives that promoted excellence and modernization in the Kingdom, and affirmed the determination of Bahrainis and their commitment to achieving achievements and progress. In this regard, His Majesty directed the government to continue its efforts to achieve more achievements for the country and citizens.
His Majesty the King highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements in strengthening the rule of law and institutions, and enhancing civic participation in the decision-making process.
In this regard, His Majesty directed ministries and government departments to fulfill all basic requirements to facilitate the upcoming parliamentary elections, expressing his thanks and appreciation to members of the Shura and Representatives Councils in the previous five legislative periods for their commitment to upholding national responsibility. Which, through cooperation and joint national action between the executive and legislative authorities, contributed to achieving great successes for the nation and citizens.
His Majesty King Hamad expressed his pride in his recent visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and briefed the Council of Ministers on its results, including the latest developments from his meetings with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister. In this context, the Cabinet congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his appointment as Prime Minister after the issuance of the royal order from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, wishing him continued success in achieving greater achievements for Saudi Arabia under the leadership. His Majesty the King welcomed the upcoming official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty the King. King Hamad congratulated Bahraini citizens and Arab and Islamic nations on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, wishing everyone a happy celebration.
His Majesty the King praised the key role that Bahraini teachers have played throughout history, noting their success in nurturing generations of local talents that contribute to the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom.
In this regard, His Majesty the King stressed that the nation highly values the selflessness and dedication of its teachers, and congratulated all teachers in Bahrain on World Teachers’ Day, wishing them continued success in carrying out their educational mission.
While reviewing the latest global developments, His Majesty stressed the importance of concerted efforts by all to achieve lasting and comprehensive peace in a manner that guarantees the interests and national security of all countries.
