Manama, November 12 (BNA) Head of the Human Rights Committee and member of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives, Representative Ammar Ahmed Al-Bannai, praised the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty the King. Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during the opening session of the Paris Peace Forum.
MP Al-Bannai praised His Majesty the King’s firm approach based on strengthening the pillars of communication, solidarity and peace and activating the role of international partnership in achieving security, stability and sustainability for all peoples of the world.
He stressed that during the reign of His Majesty the King, Bahrain achieved the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which was positively reflected on its outstanding achievements during the spread of the new Corona virus at the health, educational and economic levels to provide the requirements of a decent life for citizens.
He pointed out that the Kingdom’s successful efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, enabled national competencies and front-line heroes to protect citizens from the epidemic.
MP Al-Bannai praised the role that Bahrain plays in achieving global security and peace, as well as in activating justice and equality so that people can enjoy a dignified life and a brighter future, by transferring its pioneering experience in promoting human rights principles to the world.
He added that the Kingdom has demonstrated its keenness to continue implementing sustainable development plans and programs to ensure the achievement of the seventeen sustainable development goals.
He stressed that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, the first advocate of peace and respect for freedoms and sustainable stability, has always been a pioneer in strengthening partnership and cooperation with all international organizations and bodies related to sustainable development, from its perspective. Believing in the importance of this cooperation in achieving international security and stability and meeting the aspirations of peoples for progress and prosperity.
