Islamabad, September 17 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, praised the continuous humanitarian initiatives launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the United Arab Emirates. The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), to provide relief to those affected in brotherly and friendly countries, as well as extend a helping hand to those in need around the world.
His Highness explained that the royal support comes as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to promote the values of international solidarity based on the fraternal and human ties that bind the various peoples of the world.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for praising the efforts of the Bahraini relief team in delivering relief aid to brotherly and friendly countries, praising the great support that the health care facility receives from the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman. His Highness Sheikh Nasser made these statements on the occasion of the visit of a delegation from the King Hussein Cancer Foundation headed by Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Amin, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Walid Al-Mannai and officers from the Ministry of Health. The delegation is visiting Pakistan on the directives of His Majesty King Hamad to provide urgent humanitarian aid to those affected by heavy rains and floods in Pakistan, under the supervision of the Reproductive Health Foundation led by His Highness Sheikh Nasser.
During the visit, members of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation delegation met with Pakistani officials who briefed them on the effects of the catastrophic floods that swept their country and left many dead, injured and displaced.
The delegation conveyed the condolences of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the leadership, government and people of Pakistan, stressing the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
It also signed an agreement with Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority led by Lieutenant-General Akhtar Nawaz.
Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed was briefed on the extent of the damage caused by the floods and the humanitarian conditions of those affected there.
Lieutenant-General Akhtar Nawaz emphasized the depth of the distinguished and long-standing Bahraini-Pakistani relations, praising the humanitarian role played by His Majesty the King in providing aid to the afflicted all over the world. He also praised the pioneering role played by the Health Care Fund with the support of His Majesty the King and the government led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the role of His Highness Sheikh Nasser.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Waleed Al-Mannai, praised the directives of His Majesty the King to deliver relief aid to those affected around the world, praising the government’s support, led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for humanitarian activities.
