He congratulated Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his assumption of the presidency of the 31st Ordinary Arab Summit, wishing him success in leading Arab action.

He expressed his deepest congratulations to the Algerian Republic on its National Day, praising the invitation to hold and host the Arab Summit.

He also expressed his thanks to the Republic of Tunisia, headed by President Kais Saied, praising his contributions to support Arab action in presiding over the “Summit of Resolve and Solidarity”.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed expressed his thanks to the Secretary of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and the General Secretariat for their dedicated efforts to make the summit a success.

In his speech before the summit, he stressed the dangers that threaten Arab security and urged cooperation and coordination to confront challenges, ward off dangers and settle political and military conflicts that strike some Arab countries.

He highlighted food and energy problems, epidemics and cyber threats that pose a threat to Arab national security, which calls for Arab solidarity to confront threats and crises.

He stressed the centrality of the Palestinian issue, noting that a comprehensive and just peace will prevail only if an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is established on the basis of the two-state principle, the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions. .

He praised the efforts made by the Algerian Republic to achieve reconciliation between the Palestinian factions, which resulted in the “Algerian Declaration”.

He pointed to the lack of commitment to the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the sovereignty of states and resolute interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, stressing the importance of addressing these challenges.

He renewed Bahrain’s firm support for the UAE’s sovereignty over three Emirati islands (the Greater Tunb, the Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa), denouncing Iran’s continued occupation of the islands.

He stressed the need for Iran to respond to the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to resolve this issue, through direct negotiations or resorting to the International Court of Justice.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the sincere efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to restore security, stability and development in the Republic of Yemen.

He affirmed Bahrain’s full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and support for the efforts of the United Nations to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the approved international references, in a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, peace and peace. flourish.

He renewed Bahrain’s support for Egypt and Sudan for their historical rights to the Nile waters, stressing the need to reach a binding agreement regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. .

He stressed the importance of joint cooperation in protecting the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change, and renewed Bahrain’s support for the “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East” initiatives.

He wished Egypt every success in hosting and chairing the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 27).
