HM King receives Oman’s Shura Council Chairman; hails long-standing historic ties

Manama, May 31 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the long-standing brotherly and historical relations linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Bahrain.

His Majesty the King, when receiving Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, stressed that bilateral relations are witnessing steady growth, noting mutual interest in strengthening joint relations.

His Majesty the King welcomed His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, who conveyed his sincere greetings from the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty King Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty the King also expressed his sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, wishing him good health and happiness, and his country and people further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty the King praised the advanced level of bilateral relations, praising the pivotal role played by the Shura Council, the Bahraini House of Representatives and the Omani Shura Council in strengthening brotherly bonds and supporting development in the two countries.

His Majesty the King praised the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the House of Representatives and the Omani Shura Council, which will contribute to supporting parliamentary cooperation and intensifying coordination on common issues.

His Majesty stressed the importance of fraternal visits to expand companies, exchange legislative expertise and coordinate positions in the parliamentary arenas.

He praised the pivotal role of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saidin in supporting bilateral relations, and praised the development steps in the Sultanate of Oman.
