HM King receives letter from Pope Francis

Manama, December 10 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today, at the Sofia Palace, the head of the Congregation for the Evangelization of People in the Vatican, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagli, Apostolic Ambassador to Kuwait. , Qatar and Bahrain, Eugene Martin Nugent, Apostolic Vicar in the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia and Apostolic Director of Northern Arabia, Bishop Paul Hender, on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom to attend the inauguration of the new cathedral in Bahrain.

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagli delivered to His Majesty the King a written letter addressed to him by His Holiness Pope Francis.

In the message, Pope Francis expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad for the inauguration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Arabs in Bahrain, praising His Majesty’s interest in strengthening relations between different religions and cultures, praying to Almighty God to preserve His Majesty and the people of Bahrain, and blessing the efforts of His Majesty the King to promote peace and love among all. .

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagli conveyed to His Majesty the King the greetings of His Holiness Pope Francis and his wishes to Bahrain and its people for lasting progress and prosperity.
