His Majesty the King praised the advanced level of continuous cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the joint United Nations program to serve the goals of sustainable development.
His Majesty King Hamad affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the United Nations and its various agencies and programmes, especially in the developmental, health, educational and environmental fields.
His Majesty the King affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for the efforts of the United Nations in achieving its humanitarian goals.
His Majesty the King highlighted the meeting of the Council of Presidents of the United Nations General Assembly, which was hosted by the Kingdom last March, and the resulting consolidation of the principles of the United Nations to achieve global progress and prosperity.
The meeting also touched on several issues and the most prominent regional and international developments.
His Majesty the King praised the important role of the United Nations in promoting international peace and security and finding solutions to various global issues and problems, in addition to its efforts to confront environmental and natural disasters and climate change.
His Majesty the King affirmed that the Kingdom always seeks to promote peace, stability and prosperity while promoting rapprochement between peoples of different cultures through tolerance, coexistence and harmony, out of its belief in the values of love, tolerance, coexistence and harmony among all, to which it adheres.
The UNCPGA President thanked His Majesty the King for the warm reception and hospitality, praising the vital role played by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in supporting the goals of the United Nations in serving security and stability, and promoting peace regionally and globally.
He also praised the developmental steps achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King, stressing that the Kingdom is a role model for coexistence and tolerance among various social strata.
