HM King issues Decree-Law (42) of 2022


Manama, November 8 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Decree Law No. 42 of 2022 amending some provisions of Emiri Decree No. 5 of 1983 amending Emiri Decree No. 2 of 1975 regarding the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, and after the approval of the Council of Ministers.

According to the decree, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports consists of a president, one or more vice presidents and at least eight members.

The president is appointed by royal order

Members are appointed by royal order based on the nomination of the president for a renewable term of four years.

The decree also stipulated that all state departments provide the council with the data, statistics and studies it requests and related to its competencies, and cooperate with it in everything that facilitates the performance of its tasks and tasks.

The decisions of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports are enforceable and binding on all parties in the Kingdom, including ministries, authorities, institutions and others, and it takes the necessary measures to implement them.

The Prime Minister and the Ministers – each within his jurisdiction – shall implement the provisions of this Decree-Law, and it shall come into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
