Manama, November 10 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, visited today, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2022), which kicked off yesterday at the Sakhir Air Base.
At the outset of the visit, His Majesty the King, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister visited the UAE pavilion, where they were briefed on the latest achievements of Emirati companies and institutions that display a range of developed projects in the field of aviation.
They also viewed the pavilions of other participating countries, and exchanged conversations with heads and representatives of companies and exhibitors about the latest developments in the aircraft industry of all kinds and the latest innovations in civil and military aviation technologies. They were also briefed on the most prominent modernization and development plans and programs implemented by international companies in the aviation sector.
His Majesty the King, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister watched the air shows accompanying the Bahrain International Investment Show 2022.
About 100 aircraft of various commercial and military types participated in the air shows, including military aircraft from the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF), Gulf Air, the US Naval Air Force, the Royal Saudi Air Force (Saudi Hawks), and the Emirates. The Air Force (“Fursan Al Emarat” (Al Fursan)), the British Global Stars team, the Red Arrows team and the Pakistan Air Force for the first time gave effective and distinctive performances that won the admiration of the audience.
His Majesty King Hamad welcomed the state’s guests, senior officials and participants from various civil and military airlines, exhibitors and those interested in aviation sciences, wishing them a fruitful participation in BIAS 2022, which represents a vital and important global platform for the aviation sector to learn. About modern technologies in this field, reaching deals and exchanging ideas and experiences.
His Majesty the King praised the fruitful efforts made in the preparation and organization of the BIAS 2022 International Air Show to ensure that this prestigious event maintains its distinguished level, becoming an important air show on the map of international aviation exhibitions.
His Majesty King Hamad especially paid tribute to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the International Federation of International Arbitration, as well as to the members of the Committee for their tireless work, appreciating them highly at the same time. The time, the great efforts made by the Bahrain Defense Force, the Royal Bahraini Air Force and all concerned parties, in addition to the competencies that contributed to the success of this global event hosted by the Kingdom.
